Farewell to my Best Friend

pets-14

As part of healing, I am writing a letter to my dearest Sheba who just tragically lost her life.

My dearest Sheba,

Words can never truely express just how I felt about you.  Your were such a bright light in my life.  You always knew when I was home before I even got out of the car.  I would see you looking out the window and you would be “talking” to me before I even got to the door.   And of course, your “happy dance”  once I got inside!  You loved to talk to me.  Just talk and talk and talk.  You were one of a kind.  I little bossy too :)  Every time I was in the kitchen you would “tell me”  you wanted a treat…. and dance around until you got one!  You always snuggled at the end of the couch and loved, loved, loved your pillows to rest your head on.  Thank you for taking in Buttercup like a mother.  I have never seen two dogs play and look out after each other like you two did.  You know, Butters really misses you too.  She doesn’t want to go outside without her Sheba.  It’s so quiet at home now without you.  You were so full of life and color.  Not only your constant talking, but the way you would howl when you heard sirens.  I will always think of you when I hear a siren.  And run, boy did you love to run and go for rides.   Sara picked out your resting place where you loved to stand and watch out the neighborhood from our backyard.   We planted a magnolia tree for you and flowers.  You would like it.  Remember how you chewed my one tree, and liked to eat my flowers?…. echinea to be exact.  I will plant you some of those when they come in season.   Good Bye my sweet, sweet girl.  You will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

With all my love, your mommie.

Carriage Hill Farms

This was such a fun session.  Even though it was raining off and on, we braved through it.  Carriage Hill Farms was such a great place for photographs.  I will definitely be back to shoot there again.

The Schweiss Boys

I am soooooo behind on my blogging.  I wanted to post this of the Schweiss boys.   I loved this as an artistic piece.  This would make a great large wall portrait.

Toddler’s Photography

I just photographed Von and his mom yesterday.  Even, with no nap and little cranky we still were able to photographVon’s three year old pictures.  Von’s grandma brought them in.  She doesn’t get to see her daughter and grandson often since they live out of town.  Fortunatly I was able to move an appointment to get him in before they left.

Brand New, Nolan’s newborn photos

Nolan was born 7 weeks early.  He has only been out of the NICU for 2 weeks.  He is such a tiny, sweet little thing.  Although he normally sleeps most of the day, he made up his mind that he was staying awake for his photographs.  What a pleasure and honor to capture this little guys first days.

Cherished, Capture your loved ones before it’s too late

This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph Billie and Dave.  Dave was just diagnosed with terminial cancer.  Billie called wanted to get pictures before Dave was feeling too ill to do so.  I know Billie will cherish these photographs in the days and years to come.  They make such a beautiful couple, don’t you think so?
